What We Offer
How to Succeed in High School
How to Succeed in High School is geared towards students in 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades. The focus of this workshop is on understanding the differences between individual and institutional goals and the impact on your high school career; on fostering positive relationships with your guidance counselor and teachers; on developing a high school course selection plan that challenges and interests you; on identifying, securing and integrating extracurricular activities and volunteer and paid employment opportunities into your high school plan and on discussing how to maximize your high school experience.
Creating Your College List
Creating Your College List is geared towards students in 10th and 11th grades. The focus on this workshop is on understanding yourself by identifying your desired characteristics for your “right fit” college; on crafting your college list; and on planning and executing productive college visits.
Creating Your College Packet
Creating Your College Packet is geared towards students in the 11th grade. High school guidance counselors use this information to compose your college admissions recommendations. The focus of this workshop is on understanding how to create your narrative so that it displays your strengths, talents and interests in an organized, strategic and comprehensive manner so that your guidance counselor may create the most effective and impactful recommendation for you.
Creating Your College Admissions Applications
Creating Your College Admissions Applications is geared towards students entering or in the 12th grade. The focus of this workshop is on understanding how to create your narrative so that is displays your strengths, talents and interests in an organized, strategic and comprehensive manner to maximize the impact of your college admissions applications and on selecting and developing essay topics that highlight your uniquenesses.
